Man! I know it's no news to anyone but WOW! the resale value is crazy nice right now on both 2nd and 3rd Gens. Especially on one with super low mileage (< 9K) like below. $29K.

LOL. I knew someone would say that. Well here is a 4WD for you for $28,850...and 90K miles.

Any way we slice them...resale value rocks!

Yep. I spent 2 years looking for a good used 2nd gen. After looking at several trucks, the idea of spending mid to high 20's for a truck with almost 100k miles (Toyota or not) didn't appeal to me, so I spent a few bucks more and bought a new 3rd gen.

I was in same boat a few months ago. After looking for years for a low mileage, 2012 or newer, local one owner, priced at lower 20's, I had all but given up. Long story short, wife found one local at a reputable lot in our AO on a sunday that was super clean, told me to drive it monday morning, drove it off as new owner 3 hrs later. Priced very well and still shocked we now have a newer tacoma.

Its still shocking what these things bring used though. No way would I have bought a new one though.

Holy hell, and that's for a base? No thank you. I picked up my 2012 TRD OR with 65K a month ago for $20,500 from a Chevy dealer's used lot.. I figured it was as good an investment as a truck can be...

Yea, I picked up my 2012 TRD Sport 4x4 for $23k (before taxes and fees), with 100k miles... and I feel like I got a pretty good deal with all the options it has.

I jumped on mine when I saw that it was 4wd with 45k for 16k. Its a base, but came with a camper and nice tires so score!

When you say base, do you mean "not a pre- or X-runner" or base trim level?

One for now... same photo on my profile. Will have some more soon after I get my new topper installed Tuesday. It was kind of a bonus that it just happened to be this lovely Spruce Mica color everyone seems so jazzed about... gotta love a happy accident.

Nice truck. My fault. I thought that price was double cab. Yeah my purchase was a happy accident also. Previous owner of mine had a color matched leer on it but took it with him when he traded. I may purchase a topper also.

I got lucky as well, there are deals out there but far and few between on the low mileage one. 2013 TX Pro access cab 4wd, 4457 miles when I drove it home. As far as I'm concerned it was brand new.
