So, this bullshit happened again, the bumper is grenaded and there are flecks of metal everywhere, and some nice gouging in the shaft, FML.

IDK, that’s the top out spacer, and as seen in the post I quoted they are different on each side. Going to see if I can get one of the other ones.

I also shouldn’t be hitting these with straps, which also can’t seem to stop breaking, so again, IDK.

Have you checked with the LT guys to see if they ever had something like that happen. 99 percent of them run kings. Or maybe call downshouth and see what they have to say.

Yeah, I got the last replacement from DSM, they basically said strap it to keep it from topping out.

Yeah, you can certainly break anything. You also won’t notice or find this until you rip the shocks apart.

Also, even the other side’s oil was trashed, rebuilt almost exactly a year ago, so they have taken a beating over the past year. Maybe I need to stop playing prerunner so hard:burnrubber:

After doing both, I can 100% tell the difference even though it did ride nice with aftermarket lowers and good coilovers but I have so much more I can do now at faster speeds.

Damn man. Going to have to tighten the straps at droop. They're obviously stretching and allowing it to top out.

Mine are due for a freshen up too. Hopefully mine don't look like yours :pout:

What I am finding out is you need the 4Runner as a expo rig and then a fully built Baja rig :D

Yeah, it's not like there's someone who's done most of the local crawling trails with a +2 kit with no problems , as far as I've seen there isn't anything you couldn't fit a +3.5 kit on locally.

It always interesting how a lot of people say they don’t want the long travel because the trails are to narrow. If the trails are narrow aren’t you f’n up your body panels and bumpers anyways. Might as well get the extra travel. :notsure: Even on cliff sides you can still squeeze through with LT. Just takes a big set, not to panic.
