    yea I know what you mean. Im wondering what the bumper corners would look like since its metal chrome and not plastic like the badges and grille. I think they would look good matte black though. You have a pic of your shift knob?

    For those who are hesitant of using plasti dip.. I painted my dashboard bezel (sr) in gray about 2 years ago and I decided to change the color and it peeled super easy... Zero damage on the plastic under it.. i live in fl so the sun is unforgiving but nothing bad happened...

    So use it!

    Thinking of doing the same to my flares on my 18’ white sport. How long did it take you to do all 4?

    I was contemplating whether to plastidip, vinyl wrap, or paint.

    I was tempted to do vinyl but had a bunch of masking material sitting around, so I figured $18 on these means I can drop more on some other mods... This site is forming bad spending habits!

    It took me the better part of an afternoon - 2.5 hours prep (I probably went overkill considering there isn't much overspray and it comes right off with rubbing alcohol), and about that much time spent painting and waiting 10-15 mins between coats. It was a hot day so it didn't take long to become dry to the touch.

    Did the warm water thing too.

    Yeah, if you put water before you spray and in between coats you get a much smoother finish.

    It's about heat. The warmer the weather, the better. Also remember that as the can of spray is used, the chemicals used to force the content out are actually cooling the can which is why putting it in warm water between sprays helps to warm it up again.

    I plastidipped my grille last summer (chrome grill on an off-road) and noticed a couple of spots where the plastidip has chipped and the chrome is peaking through.

    Can I just touch up with some plastidip on these small spots or do I need to do the whole grill again to avoid it looking splotchy?
