Absolutely, glad to pass on anything I’ve learnt. Just read through that thread and ask whatever questions you have, so you get the right stuff the first time.

I love them so far! Really nice ride. I have a little bit of rubbing due to the 285/70/17 tires I have, but it's nice having the extra bit of clearance. And that's a good deal on the Fox. I'm going to slowly piece together an Icon setup, or just jump all in down the road.

I actually found my fox set up on eBay and called hunters 4 x 4 in Sacramento and they price matched it. I figured I would just do it all at once get the truck done, but is it ever done

I'm now trying to decide if I should only get the 4" spindles or if I should get the bundled kit that includes the spindles and the 5100's. If I go with the latter, I need to decide what coil as well. I guess I'm not quite sure of the exact lift I want to see on my truck haha.

    My head is spinning lol.

Just to make sure you know, just because you get 5100s doesn’t mean you have to get coils as well. Using 5100s to get extra lift beyond the spindles is the cheapest route.

If you do use a lift coil, then you don’t use the 5100s to get lift as well. Lift coils aren’t meant to be preloaded.

Ok so let me get this right.. Spindle and lift bundle kit gives the option to choose a coil(HS 2.5 Lift coils, 883, 884, or 885). But you're saying if i chose a coil to lift it then i wouldn't use the 5100s along with it?

Heres link to what i am scoping right now:

    Two different lifts in theory.

First you could use the spindles in combination with the 5100s and adjust the 5100s to the height you want. So you could put the 5100s on the 1.55 setting and end up with 5.55 inches of lift.

Second option is to use the spindles with lift coils. If you use the lift coils you need 5100s since your stock shocks aren’t meant for the extra height. What I was saying is you can’t use the 5100s for height adjustment and the lift coils. So if you use lift coils the 5100s must be at the lowest setting which provides 0” of lift. You’ll then end up with 4 inches from the spindles plus whatever height you get from the coils. But you gain no additional height from the 5100s in this setup.

Ok thanks for clarifying. I thought that's what you meant but being completely uneducated in this department i needed to clarify haha. Thanks for your patience.

Completely unrelated note: i take it that you're from Arizona. I am contemplating moving there in future because I am positively sick of California and it's politics. Rate arizona for me on a scale of 1 to 10 and also tell me what the average high temps are lol.

Of course ask questions, that’s how you learn. That’s the only reason I know what I do.

I personally like Arizona, we don’t have to deal with shoveling snow and all that crazy weather. Our winters are always perfect and in the 50s-70s depending on where you live. Summers can be pretty hot, usually 90-100. But if you can get past the few months of year that it’s hot, the other months are pretty nice.

Don’t forget if you plan on running stock wheels you’ll need spacers up front. Or run an aftermarket wheel with at least 4.75” of back spacing. Most guys are running aftermarket wheels, then putting a 1.25” spacer in the back to make everything look even.

Ok cool. I think i might run stock wheels because i am cheap. Unless anyone has a valid reason not to...

And yea, that's the hottest it gets where im at, sometimes even hotter like 106. I think I would like the area more over there. Wife would love the sun. Its just leaving people and restarting careers is hard. But the housing market is way better over there too. Just was curious. Thanks!

No reason not to run stock wheels, just make sure you get a set of spacers for the front otherwise your stock wheels will most likely run the spindle.

We can get hotter than 100 but at that point it all feels the same to me. If you come over this way there’s a ton of building going on right now so you can get new houses for decently cheap and still live in a nice area.

I've been in Phoenix for a little over 5 years. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. If you hate the politics and expense of California, you'll love AZ.
