Hello! I saw a taco and there was a light bar in the space below the grill. And I was wondering if I can do that to my ‘05 Tacoma but if I do that will it have any effects to the vent that is behind it?

Do you mean in the space behind the lower grill? Many have done it; use Search tool to find them. It will affect airflow to the lower part of the radiator but I have not heard of any overheating issues from those that have installed a light bar there. If you have the Sport package you can mount a light bar inside the scoop; I bought a bracket from a TW member and the light bar in there works great.

This is NO HELP what so ever cause mines a third generation but I love it where it is on mine. I used the Rigid 30” Single Row model 931313, it’s beyond bright if you can squeeze one in.

Yes. She'll fit. No realized impact to airflow or heat dissipation.

Auxbeam brand is all I ever needed.

I went with 32 and wish I put a 34" because of the extra space in 2005

    Ummm....stuff and more stuff
Does the light behind the plastic trim get reflected much or light output decreased? I have been back and forth on if I want to mount it behind or in front of the molding. I like the clean look of it behind.

Do you have to remove the front bumper to install the light bar in the lower valence, or do you only have to remove the grille?

    Just the grill.

You can get either brackets, flush(cut lower grill out) or stealth(no cutting required) from https://caliraisedled.com/collections/2005-2015-toyota-tacoma

Maybe not in the northern states but I would certain be more hesitate to mess with the air flow in the desert areas. And as the parts age, air flow restriction becomes more magnified.

I went a slightly different route and put led light pods there.

Does it affect any airflow or anything? Or is it fine to put it in

How did you mount the pods? Just drill into the crash bar and use the mounts that came with the pods?
