    Not much stock left.
I believe the ARB locker comes with a bushing, so you don’t need the ECGS bushing. At least that’s what I found on ECGS’s website.

I should be able to verify this one day. Waiting sux!

Makes sense and I’m not installing a front locker so ECGS busing it is. Thanks

What gear oil are you guys running? ECGS runs 85-140 but kinda wanted to know for a fact if I should follow that recommendation

Front and rear? Why not synthetic?

Point of the link is to show that even ECGS recommended non synthetic..

I’m still trying to find the thread (from the 2nd gen tacoma’s) where someone mentioned that synthetic could cause vibes with our factory LSD rear end.

I’m really surprised with this being a mega thread on 4.88’s, no one discussed diff fluid. Everyone seems to revolve around REM process

    Edit: found it

Lucas synthetic, no vibration.... ridiculous to think that fluid is going to cause any type of vibration.. perhaps some shuttering if it's too thin but being synthetic or not, shouldn't really affect anything.

Shuttering was the word! Or chatter per that thread, not vibes. Good catch.

Jerry, are you running the 85-140 as well?

75-140. I've gotta have close to 20k miles on my gears and have done 3 fluid changes. Ran royal purple at first and Lucas ever since. Changed the fluid last weekend as a matter of fact and it was kind of a waste, what I drained out was in near perfect condition after several road trips, lots of off roading and even a few deep river crossings

I was talking about the long process of breaking in. But I was wondering why not synthetic. That's all the post u put up earlier doesnt state why not synthetic.

I don't ask why. They are specialists and recommend that. I'm not a specialist but know enough about mechanical stuff to know that there probably isn't a world of difference with using other types or brands but again, defer back to them being specialists. Lol.
They built my third member and clamshell, I feel they will recommend to me the best product in their mind to make me have the longest lasting gears as possible so that I don't turn around and talk trash about their work.

That price was only labor. Gears were like $1400. I don't recall the exact price

How long did it take? And what fluid did they recommend?
