Very true. A little extra travel never hurts.
Say I were to run the F67/TC Mount set up.
What size shocks would be the best to get?
Is 18” too big? Keep in mind. 1st gen.

If you're not going to fab anything yourself you'll need spring hangers, 12" shackles and mounts for above the frame, and shock tabs. Adds up quick if you decide to buy it all from them. Most guys on here that have had F67's and H70's (E30's) prefer the H70's once any weight is added to the rear. I went the H70 route myself.

A lot of info right here:

    Awesome. Thanks for the info.
When we go out i tend to run a spare, ammoboxes, ice chest, and plan to run a jack w/ mount eventually so it sounds to me like F67 isn’t going to cut it. I’ll look into H70s

Its still not too late to LT the rear man. But if you don't plan to hit stuff at speed, then you are on the right mentality.

    @LukeCC

Yeah there's enough people with either that it seems like a good idea to spend some time deciding before getting some. Here's a couple who went from f67's to h70's. Also check out bakerfabrication on ig who switched.

    So not get f67 springs.

    They suck.

I ran 50t springs 12” shackles over the frame and a 16” double bypass and it worked amazing. Got about 17/18 inches of travel.

Oops I thought you had deavers my bad - I remember comparisons between the 50t and the h70's and that they were similar back when 50t's were easier to come by.

    50t!

If I didn’t have those I would get the dealers for sure.

I would never get f67 again though lol

you can't run the TC kit anyways. Its for 2nd gens only.

If you go SUA you might as well go full LT and get a full 16'' of travel. Not worth doing otherwise.

Most SOA packs on 1st gens pull around 10'' yes.

According to the H70 specs the 62” springs provide a 5” lift.

If I were to start doing the rear end LT with my front end being MT (King/TC UCA) I would be driving around like a stink bug for a while, right? Haha

depends on what all you put in the back. The LT isn't going to give you more lift really. Not if you set it up right for an actual good ride.

every truck ive seen with f67s hates them.
