Yeah, but at least you can find parking wherever you go in Brentwood!

Basically what Matt said. The weirdest thing about Nashville now is that any street in almost any part of town can be a mixed bag.

Yep. Some more mixed than others.

Here's a pic I took that describes exactly what you're talking about lol. This is north of 12 south so "orange" area (only because of the massive projects community there)

Sounds good, let me know when and I will keep an eye out. They have deep 1 car garage units for $1850, up to rooftop terrace units for $2750 (subject to change). I am in the middle of the two. Two car garage, no rooftop terrace.

Yeah, I remembered seeing this map on facebook several months ago and over morning coffee did some searching and found it again. It does do a good job of showing what a mixed bag Nashville has become. You can get your vegan soy late, on your moped, then pick up some microbrew and crack on your way home and never have to leave a few city blocks!

You gotta explain the libertarians one lol. Also, I'd also put 1% anywhere in belle Meade. Have you seen the houses back there? They are the size of apartment complexes.

Yeah.. that one confused me as well. Not my map but overall I think it’s pretty accurate. Agree on Belle Meade - my wife has a relative that owns one of those houses back in there. Not cheap and way overpriced for my tastes but it has the benefit of being close to Percy Warner

Anyone here interested in my old sleeping platform?

It is only the two sheets of 1/2" plywood covered with carpet. I'm still using the supports and the tie downs, but not all of them. If you want those too, let me know.

Tons to do in Nashville so it all depends on what you're in for. If you want to be a tourist for a day, all you really need to do is park downtown close to Broadway and enjoy the sights. Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum, and many honky tonks, live music venues, great food are all within walking distance as well as a nice pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River that connects Broadway with the Titan's stadium on the opposite side of the river.

Alternatively there are several hop on/off trolley tours in town if you want to see some other sights:

    https://cdn.trolleytours.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/nashville-brochure-2-18.pdf

The land to the south of Nashville (Liepers Fork, Natchez Trace, etc.,) is some of the prettiest country around, and actually has a series of dirt roads that are fun in the Taco (called the TN Dirt Devil).

But, if all you got is a day, in my experience just go to the heart of it! The Parthenon and Centennial Park are nice and gives you a flavor of West End / Vanderbilt end of town where I lived for many years. You can stop here to end your day if you have time (just take Broadway a couple of miles out of downtown and you'll see it on your right, can then hop on 440 to grab I-40 E to I-65 N to head back north).

Excellent, thanks for the help. Didn't even know Johnny cash had a museum there. He's one of my favorite singers and Google didn't even suggest it. Sheesh.
I'm not drinking due to the driving back but my wife does want to 2 step while we're there, so a couple of bars will be visited for sure.
Still have some homework to do but I'm pretty sure we're gonna have fun.

In the market for a used travel trailer if anyone knows someone looking to get rid of one for a good deal... Have a 6 month old and the only way I'm getting the family out to the mountains much this summer will be with A/C and amenities for a little while :)

Don't really want the hassle of a pop-up. Prefer to be able to just park it and walk in but for the right deal we would consider other options :)

any reputable Middle TN toyota service centers?

    Do not like Beaman.

I need my TB/WP replaced, as well as valve cover gaskets and valve clearance checked. Possible injector cleaning.

Thinking about going to CS Automotive in Brentwood... but they said they sometimes use OEM "equivalent" stuff..

Either Cool Springs or CS Automotive... When my warranty expires on my 3rd gen I plan to get all my service done at CS - they've helped me get to the bottom of some issues I had w/ my truck (that Beaman was oblivious to) and have been incredible to other friends who have Toyotas and Lexus serviced there. My sense is they actually care and are a purely service-oriented shop who specializes in the toyota family. Much prefer that kind of service over the big dealerships after my recent experiences.

I haven't been able to check out Cool Springs yet but I've heard great things (esp. in comparison to Beaman).

A colleague of mine's husband recently left Beaman and was in sales and having worked in car sales for many years (they are from Kansas City originally) were shocked by the volume focus of Beaman. They will do anything to move a vehicle, bad credit, no credit, etc., and sell with little to NO margin... so to BUY it can be the spot to go, but they are selling 3-500 cars a MONTH out of that lot which means there are another few hundred vehicles that need service and the degradation in their service dept shows. I bought from them b/c they used to treat me right, then I bought from them, management changed, they continued to grow FAST to keep up with Nashville's growing demand... and here I am still pissed about it! ha
