Ok... So I searched before I posted and found this thread. I also found the sticky about how to re-set the maint. required light for the 5k mile interval.

What I didn't find was an exact match of what my light is doing. After work today my maint. req'd light flashed six times when I turned on the truck, then stayed off for the drive home. When I got home, I re-started the truck just to see and it did it again... six flashes, then off.

The sticky describes a light that comes on for a few seconds, then flashes for 12 seconds. Mine just constantly flashes six times.

I know it's a minor difference, but the devil is in the details, right?

I'm 95% sure that this is just the 5k mile/oil change indicator, but since I didn't see anything about the light flashing constantly rather than 3 seconds on, 12 seconds flashing... I wanted to put it out there.

Thanks, and sorry if I wasted a thread.

One opinion is good (thanks, Riding), but more is better!

Mine was blinking too and then when I hit 5000 it just stayed on. Mine would flash like 4 or 5 times. Didn't bother to count because it was just telling to change my oil.

I believe the manual actually states that it'll flash at 4500 and stay on constant at 5K.

I probably should have RFB, huh? This is just so much more fun.

I'm convinced now that it's the oil change indicator. I appreciate everybody's input.
