    2 possible reasons:
    1. I noticed that when you got your truck, it had aftermarket wheels (at least, they looked aftermarket to me in the pics). Are they 16s? If they are, someone might have gotten a similar size spare to fit the same tire.
    2. In the trucks life before you owned it, who knows what happened to the spare. Replacing it, someone thinks "just get one that fits" ...and a 16" fits that bill (as would a 15"). They had a 16" around, so there you go.

I've had my truck since day 1, and I sold the original spare when I got my SCS last year... so 15" up through 2000 is how it was. Pretty dang sure.

    I’ll fight you,

But it turns out you’re right, I’ve gone allll this time thinking I’ve had a 16”. I’ve even used it twice and thought it was 16....
I swear I’m not as blonde as I make it seem, add that to my list of dumb.

The truck was my father’s company car for a good 20 years, his company let him choose any Toyota vehicle since they were a subcontractor for them.

I asked him why the hell he didn’t get a loaded Limited v6 4x4 with the Sunroof if the company was paying for it. Or at least a model with power windows...

Said he didn’t need it. So he chose the cheapest base model poverty-spec PreRunner. Why not the 5-lug, which was even cheaper? He liked the oversized wheels and tires that the PreRunner came with.

I guess it was a blessing in disguise. I wouldn’t be able to anything to this truck if it was a 5-lug.

I blame @mechanicjon too, he led me astray. Pulling him in because maybe he’ll throw us a curveball or something, Or just get hit by the bus I just threw him under.

was it clean? Did you wipe with some alcohol or thinner to reactivate the paint? could also be a bad batch of clear or improperly mixed clear. When you reapply wipe with alcohol to reactivate the do a very light dust coat 1st and then give 10-15 mins to flash between coats.

It was Rustoleum. I painted all my other panels and I didn’t get a reaction like this.

If you don't allow enough drying time clear coat will do this to base coat and you need even more time before spraying this over a base/clear combo. I've done this before and had to redo my work haha

Strange, I let it dry for a about 24 hours. I feel like I laid down the clear coat too thickly. The other panels I just feathered it lightly and it didn’t react like that.

Hard to tell how much clear coat you’ve put on since, you know, it’s clear.

My sliders took two weeks to cure w rustoleum, especially when its not hot out. Paint doesnt have solvents in them here in CA anymore so it will take a long time to cure, could have been contaminated with oils from your hand as well...best to wipe clean and reactivate the paint. As been mentioned

Anyone know if there is a write up with a breakdown of what exactly is needed for the tundra brake upgrade. Need to do my brakes soon and wondering if there is a list of parts needed.

Also if it will work with 16” wheels.. thanks guys.
