Mostly finished except for finding a source for rubber flooring at a price I am willing to pay to cover the top. (Build album)

Had a good day. Boring race and Giants won. Since I didn't receive the right Satellite receiver from a Toyota parts place, I decided to look online using the info from a Thread for 2009, got the correct part number and found 3 of them on Ebay at a Recycle yard here in town. Decided to find the wiring connections under the dash for the Fit Kit, took a while but found them all. Tomorrow after my volunteer work at our church will go to the yard and check them out by connecting everything to make sure they work, will finish install at home tomorrow night. They used that receiver in many models of Toyotas and Lexus so it looks like the one in the thread. Get a refund on the one I send back and it will cost $60 for the used one and it has a year warranty. So I will be $40 to the good. Left the kick panel off so it will be easy to connect every thing at the yard 10mm and 8mm nut driver is all i need/

So I decided to change the cabin air filter and besides finding lots of Hawaiian tree leaves and a black filter.....
    IMG_5367.jpg
    IMG_5370.jpg
This also came out with it....
    IMG_5368.jpg
This door was resting on top of it, it actually made it tough to remove the filter. Haven't seen this in any of the tutorials! What is this thing?
    Thanks in advance.

The lense would be easier and cheaper to fix. You could probably get Homie D to pay for this. Even with the loading disclaimer you could argue extreme negligence. That’s a pretty good dent for a innocent mishap. I would definitely try.

Guessing that is the blend door for the fresh air/recirc mode. You'd have to pull the cowl to confirm.

It goes up above, the foam goes up and out. the spots for the hinge are on the side of the box nearest the glove box. Drop the motor out and you can reconnect it, then reinstall motor

I was thinking I needed to do that...........

But I like Bell214b's answer better. There is foam on both sides, but the pivots look to be L&R specific.

    Thanks!!

Installed my Softopper, changed the oil, drained/flushed the coolant, touched up the Relentless sliders, skids, and USOffroad winch mount bumper.
Checking things off the 103k mile list... still to do (parts all piled up in the garage): auto trans flush, plugs, PCV, CMC, LCA bushing/hardware/Total Chaos tab install, Pelfrybilt 31M battery tray, Pelfrybilt aux panel, and Northstar 31m battery install, Rago ditch brackets/Baja Squadron Sports, Rago fog brackets/Rigid Dually fogs (replacing my CaliRaised brackets and amber pods [after 18 months they're fading badly, rusting, and just very weathered looking overall]), and finally 285/75/r16 Cooper ST Maxx on TRD 16" Black Beadlock Style Wheels, PTR1835090.
Glad it's getting warm finally so I can get these things done (including the baseboard and toilet stacked up on my new tires...)!

When you install the battery cage, be mindful of this hose here. It was touching the cage, so out of an abundance of caution I notched it to give it plenty of room.

I would suggest that as well. They are cheap and not too much of a PITA to cut if you have a good razor. Only problem is the smell. I would air it outside for a few days before installing it. I put mine under the tonneau straight from the store a few weeks ago and it still smells.

That's not a bad idea, I'll look into that. I was thinking about hitting up a flooring store and see what they have. Home D wants $27 for each 3'x4' mat and I would need 4 of them. I'm hoping to keep the covering to at or under $50 for the whole thing if I can (the parts and paint were already close to $200).
