Premium Audio Upgrade for less than $250

For the front Kicker woofers, is it possible to use all four mounting holes with the Metra mounting adapters supplied by Crutchfield? I was only able to use three.

^ Thanks. They are installed with three now. If I get vibration issues I will take doors apart and drill mounts.

 

Any idea what the power output of the HU is?

 

So I have an SR5 . Do I need an amp to push the Kickers or is it gonna be ok ? I'm installing the Subaru Kicker Tweeters on Sat. Thanks. And by the way great stuff. One more. If the SR5 head unit won't push the Kickers. Maybe a slightly less speaker set that doesn't need an amp ?

 

I ordered my amp from taco tunes a week ago. Still hasn’t shipped on back order

 

Just use self tappers. That’s all I used worked fine

Ah, that stinks! I only had it listed in my account at first. Then I saw it on the main page after I used it. Could be an invite code I guess. I recently bought automotive parts on there so could be possible.

Edit: I’m hoping there will be another code later this month for the holiday. Might be worth waiting just to see. Maybe a 15 or 20% off?

 

Which trim sr5 do you have? Which head unit (6” or 7”)? No amp is needed for most folks tastes who have the 7” HU...

 

My knobs are on the top. So 6 inch ?? I don't crank it up like I used to .....

 

Excellent write up and thank you very much! I placed my order today for the front and rear door kicker cs speakers. I already upgraded the tweeters with the kickers and they were a huge difference so I thought these must be awesome! I ordered them on crutchfield, think I spent $135. Only thing that sucks is the front speakers are out of stock so I have to wait on them. Says they will be in the 30th. Can’t wait to get them set up!! Great write up man!

I bought all of this stuff the same day I ordered my Pro. They’ll arrive way before the truck .

 

I had a stack of stuff waiting to go into the truck prior to it arriving also. My driver's door stock speaker was blown at 40 miles. You'll be happy you did it.

 

I put my Subaru Kicker Tweeters in today. Pretty happy. Will wait a while to see.
Sounds so much better now it's hard to justify a speaker swap .

 

Created a thread here of where to put under the seat sub, drivers or passengers side, if anyone has any recommendations.

I found the speaker swap 10 times better than the tweeter upgrade.
