Started a build thread but I don’t have much to do with it right now

 

55 is the New 20s , except the Frikin body aches from years of abuse.

So, what's the plan with the camper?

 

so right now the plan is to get it to my moms where i can get it into a shop and work on it. I will get some more pics of the back and the inside later so you can see the condition.

Plans:

• New axle to fit larger tires, may just get wheel spacers... probably just going to a junk yard to find a light axle that can fit larger tires. I think my current speed max is ~60-65 mph with these tires.
• redo & re model the rear storage area. Want to store the cooler back there. Not going to install a sink because i want the entire surface for cooking/prepping
• I has a 3" mat but i added a 1.5" memory foam topper.
• Going to throw a solar energy setup in there. Solar panel probably on the rear door.
• going to throw the RTT on the rack up top. Need to support it first though... dont really trust it...
• TV & radio.... Have a really cool idea for this...
• Also came with a smallish window a/c unit that sits on the tool box and blows in the front window. I did a quick test to see how well it worked, seems like it will do the trick during these hot summer days.

Its small so i can only do so much.

 

Get you one of those road showers.. I love mine used it a lot in the past few weeks..a bit expensive but worth it..i got the 4 gallon on but they come in 4/7/10 gallons..it only takes a hr or so and you have hot water

 

Sounds like a fun project! Why put the RTT on top if you can sleep in it with a/c?
