I just installed the aluminum/derlin knob and it feels goooood. I threw in the black plastic you provided as a spacer and a bunch of anti seize. Looks good and feels better than the TRD ball I had on there. So much nicer to have a knob that fits the oem boot. Thanks for the awesome piece! I was originally going to fill in the derlin holes with resin but I got lazy and didn’t want to ruin anything. The holes are small and not that noticeable.

    Beautiful!

You are much better at taking pictures than I am, lol. I hope you don't mind if I steal these pictures for advertising purposes.

Also, know that I got your back if that delrin ring ever becomes sloppy on you.

Go for it! Let me know if you need more pics. I took the mounted picture in my parking garage so it was a bit dark.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I sware posting in the new members section is near the top of my to do list...just need to get a halfway decent picture of the new truck (you know, one that’s not in a random suburban parking lot...).

Installed the one I got today. Have to say excellent customer service. The added weight really makes it easy to slide into the gears and the size fits perfect in the hand.

I took the colour matched paint pen and really made sure I got into the grooves, had quite a bit of overlap but when somewhat dry really came off easy scraping with a popsicle stick ( as done by @WOTaco ) leaving behind the paint in the grooves.

I have shapeways.com sending 3 of them to me for testing different materials, should be here soon.

I have a tracking number already, but UPS has not scanned it into their system yet.

One of the samples is actually called "professional plastic HP nylon resin", and I assume it's the stuff you are printing with.

Their cheaper stuff(also nylon) has more flex, so I grabbed that as well to see what works better.

This is also a test fit for the latest design, got tired of waiting on my friend to print another mock up.

If I like the HP nylon resin the best, you will have a file in your PM box by the end of the week for sure.

I wanted to work out as many kinks possible before you got involved, don't like when people have to spend valuable time on things I can take care of.

Finally getting some information. The sad part, I can literally drive to Bridgeport, NJ right this second in less than 45 minutes. But, you know ... UPS will get it to me by Saturday.

See? I use Amazon Prime too much these days. Anything that isn't delivered to me within 2 days, I assume it's lost and it will never arrive. lol.

This. This right here is what I look for when I intend to give my business to someone. That is a worker that respects other workers and knows that their time is precious. Just in case anyone is ever curious about how to be a better professional at their chosen craft, this is it. This is how you create a community of craftsmen that can accomplish anything. And this is what I come to this site for. Bravo, Gentlemen.
