Some won't turn a wrench. Some will. Everything they do will cost.

Heads, they take still intact but separate from block as it's machine work to disassemble/reassemble.

The heads can stay together. If you can't get the pistons out they can stay in and let them do it. I'm hoping with a little persuasion, you can get them out and just lightly rusted in...

Use a straight edge (a true unbent one) and a gap measuring tool to figure out what you have for clearances all around the seating areas where all the pieces would mate too.

Were you able to get the pistons to move at all yet? Any pics of both sides of head gaskets? Still need to find source of stuck crank before thinking about machine work. Just my thoughts. I'm no expert but just here to help where I can.

Well you might as well get a motor stand, flip it upside down with the end caps of the rods off and pound those bitches out and pull the crank. Today may be the day we finally figure out the stuck crank caper.

Don't count on machine shops and small parts staying together. They have too much going through the door. I would bring in parts for them to see and if they are going to do any reassembly bring them back when asked. (rods, pistons, new rings-basically anything from your re build kit that you wanted them to do and some shops will build an engine for you). However, they are good about keeping together what they're supposed to. Head assmby. Main caps and bolts.

You can pull the pistons (sure why not) or bring to a shop to do (if you just can't). Even the ones who don't build motors will get things unstuck. They just might throw away whatever was stuck if it was thrashed.

Good Luck on findings if you play with it today.

The heads look like they are going to need new valves at minimum.

Don't see ant obvious head gasket leak. How hard was it to get each piston out? If crank is turning smoothly then it appears the pistons were just hung up on rust ridges? Block looks to be ok with some cleaning but may need to be slightly bored. Depends on how deep rust is or just surface. Good job labeling everything.

The cylinder liners in these are super thin, you can’t remove much from them. I’d look around and see what used engines you find. Look for an 07 and up, you don’t want to buy an engine and put it in only to need to do head gaskets. Your engine can probably be saved, it’s just a matter of how much work you want to put into it, if you knew it’s history I’d say rebuild it and run it.... but everything being what it is, I’m inclined to say just throw a used engine in there and forget it. The bearings and everything look good, so I doubt it’s been thrashed too hard, you never really know though.

Hone the cylinder walls, clean the pistons, install some new rings, have the heads rebuilt, reassemble and drive it. Was there any particular piston that was troublesome to come out?

I think it maybe crud from nocking the piston out.

I think #2 was the hardes to get out. Got the crank to spin enough once 1-4 where out to get 5&6 to brake free enough to get on the bolts to get them out. now the crank spins just fine
