Wasnt hard at all and pretty straight forward. But I had 3 guys who knew what they are doing helping and lifting so it went quick. Honestly they barely even let me in to work on it. Are you just doing dakars? or adding shocks and other stuff?

Couple things of note.....mine is a 2014 so not old but spray the ever loving shit out of every bolt or nut you plan on loosening with penetrating oil cus they wont budge. (we had to literally break 4 of my old u bolts off at the nut) .......wire brush stuff so it is clean of gunk and debri so allen key and ratchet can get a good grip. My old bilstein 5100 rears are now toast cus the allen key top was stripped........install extended break lines if you dont have them already...........antiseize everything going back in especially rear leaf spring bolts 3 per side and lower shock mount bolts........double check torque on everything once tires back on and truck weight on ground......recheck torque after 100 miles or so.

this is my 4th rear lift install and i still forget shit since they are so far apart so always good to have a second set of hands and eyes to check your work. last but not least have a few cold beers and swear out loud when necessary!

Most guys locally post in here first to help local guys, if no bites then throw it up in the for sale threads or craigslist it and add to craigslist add thread for the northeast or southeast.

Alright guys my 4wd light is on and blinking. It will engage 4wd before the engine is on. But will not after. But the light is starting to go off then back on. We were in pretty deep water that could have gotten it considering my vent hose was broken off. Thoughts?

I would start with the 4wd actuator. Here’s how to take it off. Probably got water in there. I’d just start by taking it off and inspecting it.

I just made some over bent L brackets and drilled right through the cap with some silicone - my cap didnt have tracks or anything. This leaves me studs on the roof on the inside for future mods. The cap rack did not turn out that good. I just couldn't control the warping from the plasma cutter heat. I may try again which would make these sides available but honestly next time i think i would try a circular saw. People say you can cut aluminum with it.

Lol it’ll just be me and the hound dog home. I’ll be swearing I promise u that. I’m holding I can have those Dakar’s install by mid afternoon. So I can change my oil. Take off the actuator soder those prong and try and glue the vent hose back. Then I need to do a few more secret thing I’ll see a flagpole when I get there around 9pm

You need kirlex. Lots of it. And iodine swabs.
Id throw another tq in, preferably a softw, also, another Israeli bandage.

In the truck id have a foldable splint.
