It definitely would be badass! I’ve had this idea for some time so I can put my dog in without suffocating her lol. But doesn’t seem like anyone makes it like they do for jeeps.

Any idea where we could buy the netting? Custom fitting wouldn’t be too difficult on a soft topper or bed rack.. just don’t know where we can get some decent netting.

I had a JK before my Tacoma. I remember Extreme Terrain carrying tons of options for Jeeps. We may be able to reappropriate them for our own purposes.

If not, I’m sure any company that works with netting would be willing to take on some orders, if we can generate enough interest.

Best mod ever, especially for an Access Cab, but could also be useful for DC.

I was just thinking the same thing, might not be too difficult to buy something made for the Jeep and just retrofit it.

I have a dog “hammock” in the back seat of my DC but having a GSD the hair is out of control with the windows down. That, combined with my growing interest in camping has got me saving funds for a camper shell with pet screens. Should be much nicer when traveling with the dog.

I would call it still on-topic since the goggles stay in truck with the rest of her camp gear.

Leer Shell. Carpeted so they don’t get cut on fiberglass, sliding front and side windows for ventilation, OEM bedmat. Two 80lb dogs, too cramped in cab.

That’s what I’m looking to get is a leer cab.
Carpeted and screened for the dog. How much did you pay? Also, nice sticker. Check out this thread if you haven’t already.

This is what I was thinking too. Either a net over bed or build something in DC and have a soft net to prevent them from reaching to front row(like a cop car)
When I had my jeep I took out the back seat and let them in the back but hair is everywhere and its really hard to clean. Also wet dogs whenever we go to a lake. I am trying to keep this one clean.

Camper shell is out of equation for me as I don't want to deal with having to get camper shell on/off and using up space in garage. This was one of the reasons to trade in jeep, having to store hard top/soft top.
I am also not a fan of camper shell look and the dollars I have to spend to get a Cement color top.

to each his own, but I never understood why someone would want carpet in their camper if they know a dog is going to be the primary occupant. dog hair and carpet are a nightmare combo.

The exposed fiberglass had a lot of sharp edges. I didn’t want to risk any cuts. Also for the very slight insulating effect if any for the cold months.

Man. 2k seems to be a safe bet from what I’ve gathered. I’ve got some saving to do. Unless the perfect shell falls into my lap used. Haha thanks man.
