Love the wheels, I am buying a set from @Georgeth1022 to go on my truck on the 16th for daily driver tires with the BFG KO2 285/75/16. I read good things about the KO2, Any rubbing?

    A thing or two...
@Murphinator Is correct. 4x4 trucks have greasable u-joints. Prerunners, like @cratgo's truck, have sealed u-joints.

I’m almost positive I could have just gotten more caster and cleared my cab mount, but that costs money. This was free and fun, so I figured might as well!

IDK if the ball joint is greasable on the 09's, but if its not you could get one of those needle attachments for your grease gun. Poke the ball joint boot and fill it with grease. That is if you are sure its the ball joint. Ive limped a few trucks around like this back in the day. To each his own....

What do you think of that radio? Thinking of sending my Kenwood back - doesn't allow both my wife's and my phone to play music.

Interesting, my brothers trd-sport came from the factory with them sealed (original owner). Also a friend's trd-sport has sealed units, although he bought used so technically they could have been replaced, but at 55,000 miles I doubt they had been replaced

My 13 limited has them, just Greased all 5 on Sunday. I was surprised to find out its a 3/8" nut. Figured it would have been metric. I had to tighten the one all the way in the front 1/8 turn to get my grease gun to seal properly on the Zerk fitting.

@Rick_Taco , have you ever had trouble with your slip yoke having a "clunking" feel when coming to a stop on your Taco? This was an issue on my old 3rd gen T4R, but I also have a '13 Taco, 100k and have NOT experienced this yet. Not sure if this is something that is coming if I dont grease the joints/slip well

    Thanks

Well this is my first Taco and I've only put about 5k miles on it, but i haven't noticed any drive line issues yet. (haha i catch on fast) I did have a slight shake in the wheel around 60mph but I rotated the tires to rule out a wheel out of balance and it went away. Planning a lift and tires so i will just ride it out for now. I plan to grease mine at every oil change just to be safe. I've attached a thread where some guys have looked farther into this. I like the idea of calling Dana directly and skiping the dealership. My shafts still have the Dana sticker on them and now that i am thinking of it, i am going to snap a picture.

Right on, thanks. I have looked into this somewhat as well, do you know if you ever need to replace the center bearing? I have a slight shake at ~15 mph when giving heavy throttle, then goes away. I have heard this is a design flaw so I tried to lower the center bearing slightly with large washers which actually helped. So Not sure if this is just "realigning" the driveshaft. Do you have any thoughts?
