I think its just amazing the drop off from each place. It's like each spot down the list is a 50% drop in sales than the one before it

You bought a Ridgeline and keep coming into tacomaworld to defend your purchase and I'm the one who isn't comfortable in my own skin. Got it.

Try to find a thread on the Ridgeline forums bashing the Tacoma. Just a different crowd I'd say. Less insecurity maybe?

Ridgeline owners have to call up their grandson to get them to work the computer in order to post a thread.

No wonder you are here. Holy smokes, what a miserable forum. I'd buy a Tacoma for tacomaworld alone.

I just returned from a vacation in Ecuador. In many places, pickups are the most popular private vehicles, outnumbered in the big cities only by taxis. Mostly small double-cab shortbeds, though a surprising number of late model F150’s, plus older full size Ford’s and Chevies, and a few Rams. Anyway, the most common truck is the Chevy-badged Isuzu DMax, usually diesel, often 4x4. The Hilux is probably #2, followed by the Chinese Great Wall Wingle, Mazda B50, then Nissans (everything from 55 year old 320’s to new Frontier/Navarre, older Rangers, Land Cruiser pickups, Mazda’s and Mitsu’s, and a few of the brand new Rangers. Chevy has 65% market share overall (cars and trucks) in Ecuador. I saw more full-size Jeeps and Broncos than Camrys, and probably more FJ40 Land Cruisers than Corollas, so the Hilux seems to be far and away the most popular Toyota there, but it’s still #2 to Chevy. This is totally valid point. The forums are horrid and likely why I come here. Also because I'm a keyboard justice warrior defending the helpless Ridgeline. All in good fun. Enjoy your sheeps in wolves clothing. ;)

Way to pick the lowest payload on the taco and tundra but highest on the ridgeline and focus.

I have nothing against the ridgeline besides looks, IMO it looks very bad but a lot of people do mods to tacomas that make them look terrible. Just my opinion, I'm sure it's a great truck.

To make it apples to apples I just compared the 4x4 crew cab versions of each truck. Ridgeline only comes in crew cab. It's as fair as it gets. Toyota payload ratings are just that bad.

sorry about using the highest payload rating on the focus. Lol. Sad that it's even close enough to argue.

Meh not really. Figure the focus should in theory seat 5 so they have to at least design it for that. That's fair for the comparison then, I'm more surprised at the bad tundra payload than the tacos. Still wouldn't buy a ridgeline but I'm glad you are happy with yours

correct me if I'm wrong, but the Focus payload is referring to passenger weight as well. It needs to be around 1000 if it seats 5, because thats 200 lbs per passenger. The truck payload is just for the bed, not the passengers.

Could be wrong, but that's how I've always understood it.

That is incorrect payload is all weight, passengers and bed.

Interesting...because I have loaded the bed of my 2015 with 1400-1500 pounds on its own and it was fine. It was squatting, but fine. Many trips and tailgates as well, the total weight with passengers has easily exceeded 1500 pounds as well

Yea the Tundra is disappointing. I love the look of Tacomas for the record. I almost bought one, wanted one but the Ridgeline offered more for my needs. I never offroad.

Yeah, I think people wanted to wait a little bit and/or people are buying used 16s or clearance 17s. I rarely saw them when I bought my 17 in september 16, but now they're pretty common.

I know, my father has loaded his f250 with literally tons of steel before, it might handle it but it doesn't mean you should do it often.
