I’ll give both those places’ parts dept a call and see what they’ll price em at.

How’s you find those dealerships to order them through, assuming they were the cheapest you’d found?

 

Well I looked under the truck today and it turns out that one of the cat's heat shield fell off a long time ago. Never noticed a rattle or heard it fall off. Interesting.

Yeah I read that stock coils are fine. But saw somewhere on her that if you were to run 884 or 886 etc. That could damage the shock? Is this true?

 

Truck was overheating so I topped off the coolant reservoir... Does that count? Lol!!

 

No idea, my knowledge of anything lift related is limited, consider this is my first truck and I bought it in November.

 

I can't imagine it is. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the 5100s are long enough to damage the spring, or vice versa.

 

I bought my '03 4X2 Tacoma (used) about a year before I started snowboarding, so I spent several years using chains and being a little jealous every time I saw someone with the 4X4 mud flaps..
Since then we also bought a 4X4 4Runner for the family car, so I definitely won't be fucking with chains again unless I absolutely have to..

 

Negative. People run 5100 with those coils all the time. I had them paired with 884s for a little bit.

What height did you have bilstiens set @?

 

With any of those coils you set them to 0. The spring provides the lift.

With stock coils, you can set the 5100 at any clip/height you want. That's their main selling point.

With aftermarket coils, you typically leave them at 0. The only time I've seen them not at 0 is with the eibach coils and they can get set to 0.85

 

Truck looks good! I have a question about the Energy bushings . I have Energy body mount bushings and the sway bar bushings that the dealer will put it during the frame swap soon .Should I do the rack ?. I’m 2008 with 107000 miles ,lifted with 33s .
