Between my two trucks I carry three different versions and a pickle fork. One of them gets the job done.

A trick I recently learned is to put the castle nut back on upside down, and give it a whack with a bfh to pop it free. Should work well in a pinch without messing up the threads/nut

I also carry a brass in my tool bag for just this purpose. Puts a little soft metal between the object and hammer. It's key to getting the conical washers out of the knuckles on the solid axle.

Started to install the new bumper found that the broken plastic was actually from the headlights. So I ordered headlamp assemblies and I’ll pick them up later today. Then I’ll go back to putting the new bumper. Pulled the trigger on a. We OME suspension last night happy dance

Painted grill emblem this morning. I was going to paint-to-match but thought it would blend in too much. Dupli-Color Metalcast CMC201 Blue. What do you think? Should I do the chrome Tacoma door and tailgate badges too?

Well, I, uh....did a thing. @MolonLabeTaco taco got in my head ( :luvya: thanks though, it looks better) and I was bored, so I decided to trim my fender where I had hammered it back to help clean up the look.

I was always fond of the no fender flare look, but never took them off because I assumed I would have lines worn through my paint. When I found out that they didn’t, I went a little nuts and pulled off all my flares, and cleaned up underneath them the best I could.

I’m going to order new clips and modify them to plug the holes.

Finally got my Cali Raised LED pods in and pro grille. Also waxed her, she got dirty literally 30 minutes after I was done, too.

Ahhh yeah!! You going to plug them? Also I found that the line that formed around the flares was pretty stubborn to get off. I found some cutting compound on my dual action orbiter cleaned it up with no fuss.

Yeah I'm unsure how I feel, but I think that with them plugged I'll like it a lot more. I know if I procrastinate I'll never do it though.

Tack in backing plates, fill with bondo, sand, paint :notsure: this is what I've contemplated doing.
