Pretty badass I must say. I had the honor to test drive one on Saturday. Smooth as butter.

It's just a personal preference. I don't like the top heavy design, I don't like the absence of a bed.

I imagine the more powerful engine and boxed frame are due to the heavier overall vehicle.

I am interested in hearing more about this Terrain Select and Crawl Control, whatever Toyota is referring to there. Sound like they could be interesting or gimmicky BS. Please elaborate?

Also looks like they took a page from Honda with the steering wheel design, which is a good thing. I love my Tacoma, but the placement of the steering wheel audio controls baffles me.

Why? I love where the controls are. What exactly baffles you about them?

Went out rock crawling in my friends 2010 4Runner TE with Icon coilovers and 285/75/17's today and I have never been in a more capable 4 wheeler. I was so impressed over any Jeep I ever been in. He's decking this thing out and not afraid to "go for it off" road. Cant wait to see the end product.

For all the high-tech off roading gadgets and specs the new 4runner has you would think it would include decent tires!

Im still not sure about the new 'runners. Some times I like the way they look, other times I think they look ugly as hell. I did check out a loaded Trail edition at my local toyota dealer and was pretty impressed with the interior and vehicle overall... but not the $43,800 sticker price.

Why they aren't in the location you see in his 4Runner steering wheel photo, that's what. Far more accessible to the thumbs without sliding the left hand down and wagging your thumb through the air til you find the buttons.

I wonder how much of the trail will carry over to the 3rd gen TRD OR. All the multi terrain stuff, water proof seats, ect. Or will they just make a trail tacoma...

I guess with your small misshapen carnie hands that would be a problem. Us Y Chromo boys don't have any issues with it though.

Alright forum ninja. Quit stalking my ass through the threads. It's kinda creepy how fast you posted on top of mine.

PS - How the hell do you win at the hoop game? Seriously, that shit is infuriating!

I test drove one in November and bought it for my wife ( me also ) we've taken it over the pass a dozen times and hers is just a sr5 ! I've posted about this before but if this is the direction on the Tacoma I'll be very interested!

Also the height on one of these is awesome ! Sits just as high as my Tacoma with a 3 inch lift and 33s !!

Also tons of leg room I'm 6 3 and fit great!

we have a 2009 4Runner and love it....we take a lot of trips and it's the perfect vehicle for us.....I'd never consider going rock climbing in it....lol....but it's good to know Toyota builds them well enough to do it....

I like the front styling of the 2010...not so sure about the rear....it's a fine vehicle though.
