Own an SR5 and I've noticed these missing buttons (photos).

I would love to know what they are and can I add their functionality.

Also, I'm mainly looking to find if there is am easy way to add A-trac to the SR5. I have been told I could go the ARB Aor Locker route to get similar functionality as lockers since I didn't get an TRD version.

    Thanks!20180615_113141.jpg 20180615_113132.jpg 20180615_113126.jpg

The one to the right of the etc is parking sensor, the one to right of the bed light is blind spot monitor. I’m not sure if they can be added

Short answer is the cheapest way to upgrade your SR5 to get those buttons is to trade for a TRD

I had not clue when I bought the truck that I'd be offroading, so It wasn't a thought. Now, I'd love to trade for a TRD OR, but I don't want to go through that whole process.

Most of those buttons are not that important, before you go crazy and spend a bunch of money, figure out what your truck is lacking for the type of offroading you do.

Lots of people spend a lot of money rigging out a vehicle way beyond what's needed and then never get close to the limits of the vehicle. Ease into it, go out with more experienced people, then spend more money.

Your rig is fully capable going where TRDOR trucks can go. Get yourself a Air Locker and hit the trails.

A Trac would be useless if you got an ARB locker. Hell an arb locker is much better than the off road locker

How so, besides one be electric and one air? Hell the pump itself is electric so...... shit locks the diff either way. Air locker doesn't lock the diff better. Sorry trying to justify your statement.

The only advantage of the ARB is the ability to lock you diff whenever. The design of the OEM e-locker on the 3rd gen is quite excellent

I saw your intro thread -- get some decent tires and some armor, then actually wheel it for a while before you invest in lockers. Especially as a long bed, you're LOOONG in the middle and need sliders to protect your truck.

Your SR5 has built in traction control. Think of it as brake-actuated traction control -- if a wheel slips, the brakes are automatically applied. The SR5 doesn't have an extra brake booster for this like the OR does, but you're probably 90+% as capable as the OR in SR5 configuration. Your inexperience as a driver will come into play before equipment right now. I'm in the same boat. ;)

The only real upgrade path is replacing your diff internals to add an ARB locker set (don't bother with anything but front and rear at same time), which also requires a compressor. Anyways, lockers plus compressor plus install will put you at $4k+ ballpark front and rear installed. It's about the price difference between SR5 and OR, but you'll be more capable than an OR.

I budgeted for lockers when I bought my SR5 instead of an OR, but have since decided I don't need them. The traction control is actually really good. It makes grippy grindy noises and I'm sure it will reduce the life of the brakes some, but I haven't gotten stuck yet.

Gotta ask yourself is that stuff really needed ?
As far as crawl etc I have a hard time finding a spot to lube the 4wd system occasionally when not winter time.
Bed outlet ? You can put a better one in yourself than whats shipped actually for less cost.
Lane assist ? My mirror works best than fixing that stuff for the next 10 years and whose tech is constantly changing.
Use those spots for other more useful things.
