Had my 15 year old Grandson install the Redline Hood Struts/springs. He did a great job He helped his brother and me do a brake job on my 02 Tacoma during spring break. He his brother(17) and twin sister will be living with us from now on so will all the help I need and they can learn. That hood is easy to open now for this old man

 

Total Chaos Bed Stiffeners done, and bed extender modified to fit.
(had to finish the left side after swapping some hardware at Lowe's, so I just finished today)

 

Would you mind sharing how you did it, that the bed extender still worked?! Parts, etc... PLEASE!

Been thinking about getting bed stiffeners because I have a cap, but I kinda don't want to lose the bed extender since it comes in handy...

...but my hardware was slightly different. I use six 1" spacers, four 3/4" spacers, and two 1/2" spacers. Two of the three bolts that hold each bed extender mount weren't over the stiffeners, so the spacers are longer on those.
Basically it's a 1" spacer + 1/2" spacer + 1/4" stiffener, or 1" spacer + 3/4" spacer.

Then the center section of the bed extender bars go inside the outer sections, so I cut about 3" off of each side of the center bars, so they could insert further to make the overall width moor narrow.

I use my bed extender to prop up the last section of nut tonneau cover, and it allows me to load/unload while camping.

Awesome! I was wondering about the bed extender itself, since it seems like it's way too big to fit with the spacers, but that answers that... that needs to be cut a bit to allow for that. Question answered!

Now I need to attempt it I guess. How hard was it to take apart the extender, to cut it?

 

Do you have an AMP like mine? If so, there's 5 or 6 screws on the inside of the two vertical plastic pieces that support the three horizontal bars. Take those screws out, and they split in half. Then you just slide the pipes apart and cut away!

But might be the same assembly sort of thing as yours, so I'll have to check that tomorrow then. Thanks again!

Did more work on the old lady's Crosstrek. Added a front light bar and some 7 inch led lights. Still waiting on some better lights to mount on the roof rack.

You may want to verify you can disassemble yours first. If you cannot cut from the center, you're not going to be able to narrow the entire thing.

They cover the slip joint, where I cut the smaller diameter bars.

Yea ,just want some kind of visual reference of setting it up to mark holes on roof. Already put some ( for a different rack ) so hoping they might work for part of em.
