HAHAHA, I saw the green light come on with the 2 axles and it was blinking... and I thought wth, thats different, in the parking lot where I live, the light turned on when i hopped in my truck and turned it on.. and I began to tinker with the 2wd/4Hi/4lo knob... switched it back and forth between 4hi/4/lo and it still didn't function properly. nor did it engage...

Try putting in drive and moving slowly. I had to do that for mine to get in 4lo.

Did you push your locker button on accident? I tried putting mine on when I wasn't in 4wd and it just flashed on my dash.

Did you a cudently grab the 4wd knob instead of the ac knob? I’ve done that plenty of times.

Also when I shift into 4Hi I always do it in drive when rolling, 4Lo is witchcraft and it sometimes works.

You can't engage 4HI in park. One set of gears is trying to mesh with another set of gears that aren't moving.

You can't engage 4LO unless you've first engaged 4HI and you have to be stopped in neutral.

    Your original post said Park.

Well like I said 4LO won't work unless 4HI is engaged. To engage 4HI take your foot off the gas, flip the switch, then hit the gas. OR apply steady pressure to the pedal, flip the switch, and let off the gas. You could also try shifting into neutral while rolling and going back into D.

I have an arrow straight stretch of highway I drive daily to get to town. About once a month I'll kick it into 4hi if I haven't been off-roading. Manual says to do that to keep the actuators and stuff lubed. So why not when going for a haircut?

I lube my actuator more than once a month, it keeps it in good working shape
