I'd just skip right to an ebcs since the haltech can run it.

really....this is interesting. Didn't see a ton of other threads of people having issues with URDs kits. Is it really the kits? Not to be blaming you but I don't see how I wouldn't be fighting these same issues with a custom setup if a tested/finished kit from URD can't hold up.

I'm open to removing the air injection. I think I saw a thread on it somewhere essentially plugging lines and swapping the valve cover or something if I don't wanna weld/plug it.

@OVTune could you confirm ideas on a turbo kit for 2nd gen? In the making or way out on the timeline?

I mean if I go turbo there's lots of good tuners I feel around Houston. Wonder if just going full piggyback or standalone and budgeting 1000-1500 for a pro-tune would be simplest.

hehe got a little over the top with the parts huh? You mean in terms of turbo/wastegate size and setup?

That's what I was thinking...some sorta small turbo. I want it to come on quick and I imagine our 4.0 breathes well enough to spin something decent size up by 2500 or so. 3" piping, internal gate in theory would be easiest but they can also be a pain. Probably no room for an external gate. What are your thoughts on stuff like that for size/spacing in the bay

urd doesnt make a turbo kit. i was saying if you want something more simple (set and forget for the most) then go magnuson or rotrex. imo magnuson>rotrex>turbo. the less parts in the system the easier it is.

turbo setups are going to have those issues. its the nature of the beast. it may not be every weekend tinkering on it but they are higher maintenance.

oh, now I see what you were saying. you said magnuson/rotrex would be more set and forget. I read that as 'forget magnuson/rotrex, I was always fighting boostleaks, etc with mine'. But you meant you were fighting those issues w/ turbo, which I can totally see being the case. I've owned a few turbo'd cars before.

Glad I cleared that up...perhaps waiting around for URD's rotrex is best, UCONN isn't pushing the limits in terms of performance capability but it's plug/play and pretty reliable from what it seems on here.

Plus I think I'm going to implement some meth to squeeze a bit more out of it

Goes to the bottom port of the ewg. Just leave the top port open to the air. Run whatever spring you want as a baseline. For example you run a 7psi spring you will boost a minimum of 7 psi and build up from there. More aggressive spring, earlier you can spool. Boost controller just bleeds off air until you hit your desired psi.

Ebcs is a dynamic controller by commanding a duty cycle.

Truck did pretty well. Had an issue with some heat soak on the maf sensor. If I have time this weekend I'm going to bypass it. This run I slipped the clutch to help me spool fastwe.
