Seems cheaper than paying for an $800 tune, I'll bite! More I think about it, it makes more sense. It just seems that the firewall transmits too much vibration from the outside world (someone with their stereo up loud enough in front of me can be felt through the steering wheel and brake pedal!).

So, I found the post here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...d-before-buying.397620/page-119#post-15083355

But I think you meant this post, where you have a lot more photos:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vibration-in-gas-pedal.466426/

Just ordered the DM off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Dynamat-1042...&keywords=dynamat&refinements=p_85:2470955011), and will report back on how this works.

As an update, Dynamat didn't work. Vibration is the exact same. :(

This is an issue with my new truck. Described it in detail, typed it out and discussed with the dealer, told these things are normal to the design of the truck.

The tune does a lot of things. Reducing the buzz under load isn't one of them in my experience.
Not sure why it came up in this context :notsure:

You have an 18 model with this problem? I thought it was only us with 2016's.

Anyone know if this was engineered out in 2018?

I'm not sure but if test driving you should try to replicate it by trying to put the engine under load around 2k rpm to see if it would bother you. A steep incline at 35-40 mph and moderate throttle or highway cursing above 65mph in 5th gear up an incline should duplicate the condition.

I get a very slight vibration on the floorboard around 60-70. If I let up on the gas just a bit it goes away. SR5.

All I know is I asked my Service Manager last week and he said Toyota still does not have a solution for it. After 2.5 years I've lost hope. :(

I've had my new Tacoma for 5 days and I have the howl. Very disappointed.

This is DEFINITELY a harmonic vibration. Not the engine, something in the driveshaft and rear suspension I presume.

My new one I bought last week is buzzy. It seems to be the sheet metal in the exhaust system.

Yes, under load. It is a buzz not a vibration. As soon as I let off of the pedal it quits. Then back on the pedal and it comes back instantly. But after the initial buzz then it quits. It only buzzes on the the initial upshift. If I get on it hard and leave it, no buzz

Luckily I have not experienced this Yet. I'm a little numb to feel it anyways.
