That's a great idea! I know you have a long bed, but will it be long enough for that big ol spare AND the RTT?

Doesn’t seem likely without extending the rack over the cab. A narrow/small RTT is about 4’ add a 34” tire and your close to 7’ long. Could overhang both the cab and tailgate and get them up there though.

Based off your previous work, it will no doubt be a fantastic piece of custom work.

Be prepared for your followers to demand a "buy now" option...specially for other long bed taco owners ;) hehe

    Thank you:)

So I'm back to the drawing board after some brainstorming. I ditched the avalanche rack idea and settled on more of a bed rail/modular setup. Why? Because I use this as a truck 99% of the time. I'm always loading the bed; bikes, toys, house stuff, trash, etc. This design will give me a an RTT mount and make it easily removable when not camping. I'll make a pully system in the garage(where I park anyway) 4 release pins and the Tent+mount will hoist up out of the way. Leaving me with full access to the bed, along with multiple additional tie downs(which I always find myself needing more). Keeping it stealth and functional.

Got the steel, side plates are getting burned right now (hole cutout to match the roof rack)

Love it or hate it, It works for my specific needs.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
It's great that you can make it the perfect height so it's even or just below your roof rack items. Most seem to be way too high or too low hindering bed use.

That's a much better idea! I like it!

You will need to add more lights to if (of course). Most importantly, you need to add a 3rd brake light since the main 3rd brake light will be blocked by the RTT. ;)

No doubt, I agree @mesojdm and since you are doing that, you should just sell me yours. Unless you are gonna keep it for when you remove the RTT. Then I understand if that's the case.

You could probably add some flat plates to the supports with more anchor points too if needed. For traction boards, and other trail tools.

Obviously the best part is that you are staying true to Meso form and making this

Hi Sir. I like what you did on your old 2nd Gen grill. Is there a chance you will be designing 2nd Gen grills in the future ?(2013 is what I have)

It’s sorta on topic. Especially since they made a limited edition PL-Mini in FDE.

Took the fam to the coast over the weekend. Weather was awesome..nice and cool. New suspension performed flawless through the twisties, although a sway bar would have came in handy. Was hoping my RTT could've been installed...but it will have to wait until next trip. OBA was awesome.. blowing the sand off the little guy and adjusting air pressure.
Brought the Nikon to try my hand at photography(warning, I suck), and tested out the new GoPro.

Enjoy some glam shots:D I never get sick of looking at this Taco. I just keep thinking what else I can do to it.
