I just took mine in for the same thing. I looked at other 18 on the lot and most of them are loose, some more than others. Toyota ordered a whole new bumper to replace mine.

Just as an idea to fix the loose front valance...
The rear plastic bumper caps have one metal shark teeth clip that goes over the plastic clip and is a PITA to remove. Why not put the same metal clip in the front to secure the front valance?

Yes this is the brand new bumper cap that the dealership installed and it is much worse than the original problem original problem one side was a lot looser than the other now both sides are very loose and much more looser than before .

The dealership is filing a manufacturing claim with Toyota corporate saying that this shouldn’t be a problem so hopefully some changes will come. Dealership told me I may need to bring my truck back to be inspected by a Toyota corporate representative as well as a Toyota engineer

I had my cap replaced as well for this issue. New one has the same problem. Ive been trying to ignore it, as I dont think my dealer will try anything else for me. My neighbors truck has zero gap between the bumper and cap.

Local dealer where I bought the truck in Feb.. All I know is the service dept. told me they ordered a new bumper so I'm assuming Toyota will foot the bill. I have to go have it put on later this week. I will try and find out more when I go in.

Update. I got a message today from the director of service from my dealership and Toyota corporate will be replacing my entire front bumper.

    Agreed, get some metal bumpers

On another note, the last metal bumpers were in the 1st gens, they’re not plate steel, but still metal.

Mine was loose. Reported it before driving the truck off the lot when purchased. They replaced it. The replacement fits better on the top side but it's loose on the sides. For the guys who don't care... A new car/truck should be tight and right! When you lower your expectations, so will everyone else.

It’ll be the same even with the new bumper. Good luck!

No but I have seen a few pictures here posted by people replacing or painting the rear plastic caps.
A search or post asking for info is best choice. Will look but not sure I'll find the post/pictures.
