    I have 2 different skid companies and a different slider brand. The frame mount for my 3rd skid went exactly where one of my mounts for my sliders were supposed to go

    I could see that being an issue. My sliders don't wrap the bottom of the frame since they are quite short. My skids are all SOS, but 3 pieces, IFS, trans, and tcase

    Lol you say that till you see how thick aftermarket ones are. I know what you mean though my TRD offroad is like that

    Oh I know it won't even compare. I'm just not sure if it'll a good or bad overkill since I'm not out wheeling every weekend. I see it as ~$600 to save repairs worth $xxxx; which was my same reasoning for tires & sliders. The deal nudges me to want to get them...I'll just pull a @Cativelense

    Yea putting a rock through anything down there is expensive. If I built a truck over again, I would start with skids and sliders for armor first. Thankfukly I've only smashed the trans crossmember mount and candy caned a driveshaft.

    I got into something pretty good Friday in Vermont at about 2200' with +10" rockgarden. Checked today on the skid to see it was looking. Nothing on the skid.

    Guess I'm buying more skids.

    Haha surprisingly my full skid set was the last pieces of armor purchased. The new rear I bought after the skids but I had a regular rear plate bumper before

    I mean is there a right order? Haha. I'm at the point of 33s, bumpers, winch and sliders and I'll be all set for awhile. But which first. Almost leaning towards sliders just for better use of the hilift in the back country. I'd rather lift one side than a whole front or rear end .And so staying with a smaller tire has kept me out of some trouble haha.
