My truck is pulling so hard now I’ve tuned up to 6psi and 4krpm...
I’m gonna pay for a dyno to test anything above that because I really want to keep my eyes on the vitals in boost opposed to the road

 

I think they make a world of difference. I’ve had the spacers you get from 4x4offroad (or whatever it’s called there’s a thread about the somewhere) since basically when I bought the truck. I think I installed them with about 5k on the odometer now I’m at 61k

 

Everyone wants spacers and a lot of people say they can't see over the hood on the taco...

What I wouldn't give to be able to lower the seat two inches

 

I think the seat is fine right where it is and coming from someone who mostly had cars before the seating postion feels right at home

 

I am extremely happy with my C rated KO2's. Great on the blacktop and I have had it on the rocks and trails a couple times now and they handle what I do. I went from the 285's to 315's (like we all know) and the little bulge from being wider saved my wheel last weekend. I came up a steep climb and had a hard right at the top to get by a large rock on left and some large roots on the left (roots were mid door high). I ran the sidewall right against that rock and wasnt gentle about it so I wouldn't damage the pass door. The tire wall held up fine and kept the wheel off the rock as well

 

I mostly just wanted a more level seating position. When I first bought the truck I made a 5 hour trip from my house in Florida on the panhandle to Tampa and it felt like my knees were going numb from the seat. Since I put the spacers in I haven’t had that issue

 

Think we need to 3d print some longer covers for those

And... the test drive was "meh". Still too new and "weird" to be able to make a fair assessment of it. Definitely feels "different", and definitely sits up higher now.

 

About 1/4 or more of my viewing field is interior roof and sun visor. I'm only 6 feet, so while maybe above normal, I'm not some freakishly tall person. My cousin is 6'6 and drives a tacoma, I don't get how he sees anything. I have gotten used to it now and it really doesn't bother me, but it's not a clear view for me by any means.

I am about to do a 12 hour to N.C. in a few weeks, so I will have to see if I run into this. Maybe I will end up with spacers myself in the end ha.

 

Hmmm... Never thought of that. I'll have to look into it. At 6' 2" with a 36" inseam my legs feel like they are above my waist when driving the truck and can get uncomfortable. Do you have a link to where you got yours?

i'm 6' and I sit pretty much straight up, so my head is already close to the ceiling. is this spacer meant for your legs to be more bent?

 

i worked at ACK, im sure we know a few of the same planes. i used to tell people who asked about famous people “do you mean “People” magazine famous or “Fortune” magazine famous?

 

I think it's meant more for the back support "issue" because of how the back would sit so low, and now it'll sit a bit higher.

I only drove it this morning to work, which was a 10-15 minute drive, so can't really tell you much as far as it if makes a difference or not. Still getting used to how different it "feels" and getting over that, to tell if it helps/makes a difference or not. I will say that you definitely sit higher, and see ALL of the hood now compared to before.

hmm, i've been going to the chiropractor for a bit for my back, I wonder if the spacers will help lol
