Aftermarket trans cooler

Just bought a 2600LB travel trailer and do NOT have the tow package on a 2007 V6 tacoma. I am installing a BnM supercooler 70268 and will have to run hoses to the transmission cooler attached to the driver side of the radiator

I went thru most of the threads on here about installing an aftermarket cooler. I have gotten mixed answers on what is the return line out of the stock radiator cooler. Just to be clear, the top line is the return line back to the trans?

So if the answer is a yes, to route the trans cooler hoses, I will unplug the bottom hose from the stock radiator trans cooler. I will then run a hose from the aftermarket cooler to the bottom plug. I will then run the other connection from the aftermarket cooler back to the original transmission hose I unplugged . Is that the correct installation routing?

I installed the aftermarket cooler with the lines running parallel to the ground .

I did this to my truck about eight months ago. I have a 2017 and not sure if they are all the same, as far as, the hose that the transmission fluid uses to leave the radiator before going back to the transmission. On my truck, the hose at the bottom right of the radiator (facing the truck) is the line out. It's always a good idea for towing, just be aware you added a possible vulnerability, so check for hoses rubbing and for clamps leaking. I like to add insulators if a hose is too close to something.

 

Long Manufacturing makes both ‘B&M’ super coolers and ‘Tru-cool’ coolers which are exactly the same.
Both have had ‘Long Manufacturing’ stamped on them.
I have purchased both before.

Save yourself $30.00 to $40.00 or more and buy the Tru-Cool cooler.

This is a 4589 installed. A 4590 would also easily fit if you want to go biggest.
