If you want the Toyota OEM version, it’s best to go with someone selling theirs though the for sale section on this site. There are plenty for sale. Although extremely heavy! The only way to buy the OEM version is part by part and extremely expensive through the parts department. It’s not sold as an accessory.

Both of my brothers have aftermarket covers. One has the solid version. But much lighter than the OEM one. The other brother has the vinyl version. Both use the bed rails to secure them down. I don’t know the brands.

I have an OEM one, I dont find it THAT heavy. I can easily lift it in and out of place on my own.
you cant beat the factory mounts in my opinion.
mine IS for sale as well as I have a canopy on the way. although I am in canada.

Bakflip mx4, sits flush with the top of the bed. Awesome hard cover easily mountable and still lets you use the bedrails

I have a real truck ionic trifold, very easy to take off or fold up if needed to prop something on the tailgate

I am very happy with my tonneau cover. It is Lund Genesis Elite model, trifold soft cover. It's been on my 2017 AC Tacoma for several months. Very secure. Zero leaks. The "Elite" model uses a premium cover material manufactured by the Harrtz Co., which produces materials for OEM convertible tops. The Elite material has a woven appearance like you would see on a convertible top on a luxury car.

Many detailed YouTube videos on the product and its installation. It went on fairly easy. Also, simple to remove and reinstall. It attaches to the OEM rails in the bed utilizing a clamp system. No need to drill or otherwise modify the truck.

Always had tonneua pros and my father in law still has one. I went with the tri fold aluminum for the pro. Made by rugged trail. Weighs about 50 pounds but it’s built solid. Can’t see ever going back to the canvas style flip ones.

Maybe like 80lbs. It's mostly just cumbersome / awkward to lift off on your own.

I just sold mine, was easy to transfer. Dude who bought it helped put it in place on his truck. We did the entire removal & reinstall, including bed rail protectors, in about 45 mins. I'd never removed it before so I was just going on what I remembered from YouTube. Only hiccup was that the little cordless drill I brought didn't have enough torque to remove the Torx screws holding the mounting pins in, had to put the bit in a ratchet set to get them started.
