Anyone do any LED conversions to any of your light bulbs on the Taco or any car for that matter? Side markers, tails, blinkers, etc, etc, etc.

Let me know. I am curious on what has been done and available. Looking for a little feedback!

I tried several interior and exterior over-the-counter replacements purchased on ebay. In general the leds were considerably less bright than the incandescent lamps. My advice, for what it's worth, is if you intend to go with exterior led replacements, look for DOT approval--you will not find many and you may need to do some mods to get these to fit but they will be bright. Internally, I am experimenting with several Nichia U bin 5 mm leds wired in parallel with resistor on a perforated circuit board as a replacement for the dome light and this is indeed fairly bright. In general, use good quality high lumen leds.

Can you make your dash/guage lights a different color?

Were your brake lights and reverse lights brighter now. Word is that they are not brighter, just more vivid in color? Any truth. They say that like 25 LED bulbs are brighter than stock. Let me know what you think.

It's not the number of leds, but the overall lumen rating. For example, a single Cree or Luxeon led can produce more lumens than ten or twenty smaller 5 mm leds. Leds are also extremely directional so side lighting becomes important. Don't mess with substandard stuff. I saw way too many accidents, as a firefighter, due to poor lighting.

Yeh, my interior is blue. My brake lights are about the same. I really like my reverse lights now, they're a really white light.

Has anyone put them in the front turn signals? That way the DTRL Mod makes them stand out more?

Think this bulb would do the trick for the Reverse, Tails, and front blinkers? It has a few LED's on the sides. I would get the correct colors according to the lens color. Let me know!

It took me 30min, honestly. It's so simple. I'll see if i can get some pics of my reverse and tail lights once it gets dark.

I had a guy change out all my LED's in the dash from white to Red. The Dash, AC & Instrument Cluster all to RED LED's, very cool. It's great for keeping your night vision.
