Prepped and painted the sliders. Getting them welded on next week. Also I'll be switching out to the 883 springs and adding a 1/2" spacer up front. Hope everyone have a good weekend and good mod day. Unfortunately I'll be working or I would be there to lend a hand, 2x.

Whoa... 883s and a 1/2 spacer? A half inch spacer will give you 1 inch of lift on top of the lift from the 883s.

    That's a lot of lift.

Welded together the base my Aux battery will sit on... and welded it to the fender well. (No, there will not be pictures of this because holy shit, my welds look like garbage... but it's solid and is going to hold)

Finished re-making the battery tray and hold down.

Now, need to paint the tray, base and area around the base, and start actually installing the second battery.

I thought about that as well. Here’s my thinking on this. 1/2” is supposedly only 3/4” of lift at the most? I still have 2” of rake in the back without the sliders on. I have to consider that when I add a winch it will be at least another 70lbs more and I still need to put on the Trans skid which is another 15?lbs if not more. I also consider that I have a V6 DC 4x4 which is the heaviest configuration for our gen.

After all is said I want to try the 1/2” spacer anyways since I’m switching out the springs. 1/2” reguires you to replace the 3 top plate bolts with extended ones and to do that you have to remove the springs. So in the future if I don’t want to run 1/2” spacer or maybe go a little smaller it would be easier to remove or replace and leave the extended bolts in.

I have a yellow top in my Lexus. Couldn’t really tell you if it’s any better from real world use. However I have ran my car with just ACC for a good amount of time and it hasn’t fail to start yet. I did get a free replacement once through autozone but forgot the situation. It’s garage parked so it can’t be from heat? I think it was because I didn’t drive it for awhile or It was just faulty. Speaking of that it’s been almost a month since I drove it, better take it out for a drive. I might need to look into upgrading or getting another battery for a future winch setup.
