Is there a way to keep the truck in ECT mode all the time? I really hate having to hit the button every time you start the truck. Reaching for the button sometimes I accidentally hit the four-way flashers. Thanks

Search for ECT always on mod. I think about $100?

Dont get the cheap one on FleaBay, look at @mesojdm ‘s products. That FleaBay one is a knockoff of his.

Have you had the new trans software update applied?

Lots of reports that ECT no longer needed for daily driving, along with some of the other patches that were being offered.

Now that I know what to search for I'll try to find the ECT mod.

My truck is only two months old but it still seems like it drives a lot different in ECT mode then in normal drive. I've had the 5000 mile service done, but the dealership did not do any updates, and I'm not really sure where my truck is on update status.

    Thanks for info

Get the July TSB, it’s a game changer... not perfect but better than the factory flash.

I tried the ECT here is my mileage after driving to see my brother 250 miles round trip.
I purchased the truck in May, I’ve got 7799 miles with a 20.2 average MPG. Prior to my trip to see my brother, my average MPG was 19.4 MPG. I used the ECT from Dallas to Granbury and back. My MPG increased fro 19.4 to 20.2 in the 250 mile drive. I am seeing much better gas mileage turning on the ECT.
