I love my Tacoma except for the fact that if I'm at a stop and give 75% or more throttle it would get up to 1500RPM then stall for half a second, then get going again. Sometimes it would do this a few times before getting going. Well it seems Toyota FINALLY released a TSB to address this. As soon as I heard about it I called my local dealership, told them the TSB number and they had it completed within a couple hours. And so far it has not done it once.

For those who are afflicted by this please call your local dealer and have then perform the TSB 0062-18. It should be applicable to all third gens.

I would love to hear feedback from others after getting the TSB performed on their trucks. For me it was night and day difference.

Update, one month later with the new firmware:
Still love the truck, power delivery is smoother, instead of the "OMG all the power at 3500rpm", I feel like it gives you alittle more power 2k- 3k. As for shifting, I never really had a problem with the way it drove before, so i don't notice much difference. Stumbling is still gone, however if i had to list a negative, i have noticed that the truck reallllllllllly pulls timing in hot weather, low rpm, and high load, much more than it used to, but i'll take that over the stumble any day.

Finally...the stumble is downright dangerous the way it is now. I hope the TSB truly fixes it. Sub'd for PDF.

Do you know if they updated your ECM or actually changed some piece of hardware (I'm betting on flash update)?

I'd love to see a pdf. This is one of the things that bugs me the most about the truck.

I have had the stumbled for quite some time. I'll have to wait and see if Mat @OVTune can implement this fix into one of his updates. Currently running 1.04 and still experiencing the stumble.

Timing may work, as he's looking at the calibration changes made with the recent torque converter "surge" TSB now. Might as well have a go at this one too if it's software..

And "high altitude". Mine happens worst at high-temperatures. And it'll be tough for the dealer to replicate the issue at high altitude from southern az...
