I have a 01 trd off road taco and I'm wanting to put some good looking wheels on it. Could you all please give me some ideas of what would look good and not be god awful expensive. also I would like them to he able to fit the stock tire size if possible. Pics would be nice. Thanks guys.

As many people that have them, I still think the Mickey Thompson Baja II/ARE Baja/Procomp 8 hole wheels are timeless classics.

I am partial to flat black wheels on Impulse Red trucks. :p One of the wheels I considered for mine were these Black Rock wheels. They are a "satin" finish and would look great and, for an alloy type, fairly inexpensive.

These are called Type D Alloy - Series 909. I'm not sure if they are available in a 16" rim.

Yup 6 X 5.5 is the correct pattern. I went with the 15" because they are a little cheaper and 15" tires are a little cheaper too. not to mention the less backspacing sticks them out more for a better look(imo) and wider track.

RE: backspacing. I think 4" is the standard, on a 15x8 how far out from the fenderwell will these go? What about a 3.75" backspace? Will it look like a lowrider and stick out too much?

yep, both toy and chevy are 6x5.5"

toy hub size is 108mm, chevy is...smaller.

    as far as backspacing...

the factory wheels are 16x7 with 4.5" bs.

if you go 16x8 with 4" bs, the outside of the tire will be 1.5" further out from the truck.

correction: the center line of the tire will be 1.5" further away from the frame. the tire's sidewall location would also be dependent on the tire size(width).
