Do you have a link / part # for them? There's so many variations I'm lost in the abyss of over-info

Awesome, thanks. In doing some research I also saw that people are running 5100s (or 6112s) and FJ springs. Seems super cheap to do (<$400). Any knowledge on this?

I hated mine. I had the wrong amount of weight where the coils would clank over bumps

Mine didn’t have an isolated band. I like my LC’s a lot better even if they gave me another inch of lift.

So that's where the 6112 / 5125 comes in, in making sure it doesn't knock into the shock? Or is it not extra length and I'm way off?

You guys think spray paint on the AC condenser could block airflow? Seems like a dumb question

Unless you're using bedliner I wouldn't worry about it. The bugs and crap that gets stuck in it would block more airflow.

Radiator is a brand new denso, new t-stat, water pump/tb is probably 60k or so old. Brand new 40 amp, 2 speed electrical fan and shroud. Cut the cat out because it was blocking flow.

It can cause problems because the paint does not dissipate heat at the same rate as the raw aluminum. The paint can encapsulate the heat to some degree, its a coating.

Do I think that it would be noticeable as far as increasing operating temperature, No!

Was this post useful to the OP in any way?... NO!!

Are you familiar with the known issue of the T-stat being installed 180 out? There is a little bypass vent that if its in the wrong orientation the truck runs 15- 20 degrees warmer. Once the T-stat is rotated to the proper orientation the temperatures are back to normal. Kind of sounds like that could be your issue. At least it would be nice if its your issue because its an easy fix!

Do you remember the orientation of the bypass jiggly valve when you installed it by chance?

Maybe the electric fan is causing the issues? If everything else is fairly new, stock, and functioning that really only leaves the electric fan.

How was the cat blocking air flow? Or do you mean exhaust flow?

Previously I had a stock fan with no fan shroud. And because of the body lift, the fan and radiator do not line up. So that’s why I went electric. I removed the cat after my mechanic suggested it. I was at 220 freeway on occasion and removing the cat brought it down to 207. I still work at Magnaflow, so I’m gonna throw in another one when I get time.
