It's a worn steering rack guide. Basically a little bushing that the internal rack slides on. Over time that bushing wears down and creates slop in your steering, as well as a clunking noise. I already did the tack weld mod which took a lot of play out as well.

Exceptional build. Did you ever discover who manufacturers the front bumper?

I never did. I'm guessing it was just a one off custom built bumper.

Didn't plan on putting a supercharger on anytime soon but I found a deal that I just couldn't pass up. Came with everything I need to install, URD 7th injector, URD calibration unit, smaller pulley, and tons of extras.

Hopefully more than whats pictured, a lot is missing.

But still cool. They make the truck a lot more fun...also PITA for tuning..but mostly worth it.

Yeah I have a ton of stuff out of picture. Pretty much double all the hardware I need. The guy I got it from found a supercharged truck at a junkyard and pulled all the hardware and lines off of it, in addition to the kit he purchased from URD. Just need to get the IK22 plugs and fuel pump that comes with the 7th injector kit.

Finished up my 13WL tundra brake swap and ABS system delete.

They do their job. I've had no issues with them for 2 years.

How was the abs delete? Just use the lines from non abs trucks? Always wanted to tackle this and the manual lspv at the same time.

It was time consuming but not too hard. I just made my own brake lines in the area's where I couldn't just use or alter the stock brake lines. In addition to deleting the ABS, I replaced the LSPV with an in/out Wilwood proportioning valve.

    Here's a few links I found informative:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/abs-delete-2001-2004-tacoma.377243/
I can also provide you with some photos of my setup if you would like?

Yes please because this is exactly what I want to do too. And it's smart to do it when you did the tundy swap too so you only bleed the entire system again once. It's my next relatively big mod since it will be a bit of work. I already have calipers sitting in my garage but need the rest of the brake parts and the lines for the LSPV delete.

I did this too. Just used stock lines from a beater truck. Time consuming.

Long run, I wish I had just come up with a kill switch in the cab to shut it off.

I have the big ABS fuse removed already and my sensors have been long removed from my spindles as well. Really want to do this for simplicity and space in the bay as well as better control of the rear more than anything.

Granted I have winter driving around here which is what made me regret it a bit. But that's my only reasoning.

You feel like it helps better in the snow/ice? I felt like when it was working for me it was terrifying even more so in the snow. I would be sliding 15-20 feet before I came to a stop.

Mine worked well. Kept me from sliding. Maybe the brain is better in the last two years? :notsure:

I only removed mine because I want to move one of my batteries where the ABS controller was, and I already had the ABS fuse pulled.
