Hi guys, so like the title says, I'm having trouble installing the Icon 3 leaf pack. I have the pack installed but the centering pin is waaaaay to long and there is nowhere near enough threads to tighten down the old leafs to the new pack. The stock leafs on my truck consists of two leafs and 1 overload. And leaving the overload in conflicts with the icon pack. Any help would be appreciated!20180926_115105.jpg

You need a new center pin. Wasn't one supplied w the icon leaf pack? Sounds like you have the old pre tsb leaf pack. Got any more pics of said conflict w the overload and oem leaf pack?

Yes, one came with the icon kit, and that is the one that is too long and the old centering pin is way to short. 15379889089528595969761773587250.jpg

When did mine I discarded the overload leaf. The supplied bolt is long on purpose so you can pull the leafs together. Then just cut the end off, put the bumpstop over it and put it back together

Remove the overload leaf an button it up till you can get the right sized one. Maybe the stock one will work then.

Make sure you have the correct bolt (pin). The head should be smooth and round, not hexagonal like a normal bolt.

Can you take a pic of just the pin that you are trying to use?

Right, it is long but there isn't enough threads to pull the leafs together, the nut bottoms out on the threads before the springs are even close to tightened up.

    Wrong centering pin/bolt probably..

It should be black, have threads top to bottom and the head should be round to fit in the little hole on the axle spring seat

Yep, that is the one, only there is not threads top to bottom, there is only threads for about 1 inch, could I possibly get a new centering pin from a local auto parts store?

Yea but you'll have to grind down the head of the bolt

I dont think that's the center pin in your pic.... it looks more like the pin that goes in the retaining clip on the side. The center pin should have threads all the way to the head.

Interesting... I would say that they sent you the wrong centering pin. That is wayyy too long.

The hardware store should have what you need. I took my old centering pin in and compared the length. I bought several lengths I thought would fit and when I got time to install, I had several options. Just take a grinder and round off the head of the bolt you bought.

Center pin should look like this and you cut them down to proper size after installed
