Damn I really gotta have some links to the headlight build!, seriously the shit.

 

I am sixth owner of this 2000 Pre-Runner, and it came to me with this grill. In the photo it looks like chrome, but in fact it is flat black.


I recently happened upon this source for what must be an identical grill:

Are those power mirrors hooked up? You have 2001-2004 mirrors on your 2000.

 

No, not power mirrors, and I have been inside them. Search Google images for "2000 Tacoma Pre-Runner" shows many vehicles with similar mirrors. Parts list at http://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/miscinfo/95-2000tacomapartslist.pdf Page 1396 shows similar.

 

You’ve been inside the mirror housings? I’m 99% sure those are the newer 2001-2004 style mirrors.

Lots of work though. New core support, good, grille (obviously), bumper, headlights, even fenders.

 

I need to research this. I'm gonna do it if I can figure it out.

That's a great looking truck. That year front end is my favorite.

That is possible; previous owners made several changes. But, I replaced the mirror glass, and while they may be 2001-2004 style mirrors, I ordered mirror glass for a 2000 Tacoma PreRunner, and it fit. While replacing the glass I was inside the housing: no hint of power mirrors.

 

Think you can take some pics? I've sold a lot of these 1st Gen mirrors and never seen a manual mirror glass inside power mirror housings.

@Box Rocket. Did you weld the hoop on yourself or did you buy it that way. I've been looking at their low profile bumper but I haven't seen an opinion for a hoop.

 

Yeah from an 01-04 to a 95-97 you need a new hood, grille, corner lights, headlight/bumper fillers and headlight assemblies for sure. Fenders I don't think you do.

@STLharry did a swap from an 01-04 to a 95-97. Try to find his write up.
