My last ticket was a warning from a very, very cool 6'5", 300 lb greenville city police officer.

Still had paper plates on the Fiat.
Downtown rush hr traffic at 7am.
Light turns green for me to turn left and mid turn...I smash the pedal.

Rear end is in the slow lane, hood and headlights in the passing lane, tires spinning, smoke flying, rpm's in the mid 5k and its screaming.

Got a warning for "Unsafe Start". :burnrubber:

I had a Corolla in high school. Had a girl in the car and was trying to show off on the way to a party. I was ebraking some corners in the snow. Officer said he followed me all the way across town. Let me off with a warning. "I've done plenty of stupid shit as a kid. If I see you or any of your little friends on the road tonight, I'm giving you a ticket."

My last one was in Michigan, coming home from work coasting down a long hill where it's easy to get fast. Got up to something like 65 in a 55, don't remember exactly how fast. Didn't even notice the cop since I was just coasting and not thinking about my speed. He was pretty cool about it though and dropped me down to a 5 over ticket.

Last ticket was 2011 pulling the boat to the landing in MC. The speed limit goes from 55-35 in front of the court house. He was waiting patiently

No they don't. I went to court. They didn't drop it at all and the judge said to me ignorance isn't the answer

I've just gotten everything off my license within the last 3 yrs. I've been lucky enough to keep my license and not loose it due to points.

FWIW, I just posted a one liner about getting a group together for Chestnut Mountain Road for the first of the year. Not dates or details yet, but if you guys want to hit up a great trail ride, check the thread out.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/chestnut-mountain-road-runs.516937/

IMO much more fun than HPR, plus less traffic/douche-baggery. Same with Musterground Road.

No, I have a bumper to paint since it should finally be down below 70° in the morning for most of the morning on Sunday, and going to pick up my winch Saturday. Will be the first weekend since that fluke cool weekend that the temp is going to be low enough that the paint sticks to the steel. Wasted several cans of paint trying to get it to stick in 80plusº and it just turns to dust in the heat...
