Long story short I am ordering a few odd's and end's for my Tacoma from a buddy that works at Toyota and am getting stuff at cost plus a flat shipping fee. What are some cool/fun/nice to have OEM parts/items I should consider getting both big and small??
This is kind of a 1 time deal so I wanted to see if there is anything else I should consider?
    Thanks for some ideas.
    Mark

Not a popular item to many here, but I would get a Desert Air Intake.

Definitely the oem tri-fold tonneau cover. It is only available if you order it with the truck. The dealer can not order it once the truck has arrived at the dealership.

TRD wheels, but first choice would be the tri-fold tonneau cover.

Get a bed mat. Best thing I've bought for the truck yet. The plastic is so slippery nothing stays put but with the bed mat, stuff doesn't roll around back there anymore. I have the cargo net as well but that thing I am 50/50 on.

You can routinely buy the NGK or Denso spark plugs as supplied to Toyota from Autozone for like 6 or 7 dollars a plug. So the COGS is probably 2 or 3, and the wholesale price is probably 4 if I had to take a guess.

I wondered why I could not find as an option after the fact. I have seen these covers for sale on CL but now I wonder if they are worth while.
Does the cover have a part that can only be installed at the factory?

None of them are installed at the factory. They’re all installed at port, as are most optional items.

    100% Must-buy items:
    OEM Bedmat

    Nice to have:
    SR grille bezel
    OEM tonneau
    TRD Pro 4Runner wheels
Any sort of steps/running boards you like (even then, there's cheaper alternatives out there)
OEM TSS Garnish (if you're looking at getting a pro grille)

    Don't buy:
TRD Pro Grille (even at factory price you can get a 1:1 replica for a literal fraction of the price)

My dealer was very good when i ordered my TRD sport (jan 2016) he put everything i order on it at his cost even option package's , i had a dealer cost list from here and just about everything matched.
tonneau cover/roof rack/bed mat/all weather mats.... everything ..... ps also the truck ;) over $2800 under list. so yes there are some good dealers out there.

but yes definitely get the bedmat - its slick back there, and maybe the sill protecters so you don't scratch the paint.
