My buddy and I drove up and explored up around Eagle Meadows and Relief Reservoir. We visited the Bennet Juniper and talked with the dude that lives out there for a bit, then we found a pretty cool overlook of the whole area, with a fairly challenging trail, at least for my no locker having noob self that I never would have had the confidence to tackle if it weren't for hanging out you you all. At one point I took a corner at a bad angle and ended up on two wheels. After we drove down from there we went the rest of the way down the the reservoir and holy cow has that trail gotten rough from the last time I'd been down there. It's been maybe 4 years since I've been back there, and that trail is sketchy in a few spots, one spot in particular that we nearly got stuck in on the way back up. Lots and lots of loose dirt, some kind of traction boards might be in my future.

That looks rad. I wanted to go but had to run to Fresno to help my mom move. Anyone doing the OB Rally next weekend up to Bald Mountain?

No worries man, many more trips to come. Is that the big rally they were talking about at the meet up?

Well... we're back on Sunday instead of Monday or Tuesday.

Heartburn of all things... Had it worse than I've ever had it. Tried to tough it out, but and one of the most miserable nights in the woods I've ever had. Packed up and came home. We'll try it again next weekend... moon should be better for the hunt (but we should have weather the next couple days, that we'll miss out on)

Finally made it out to Leavitt lake. Road up is in pretty good condition. I got in a hurry on the way back and kissed my anti-lift nerf bar step on the driver side. Nice little ding on the underside but not really visible from above.

Also dragged my stock mud flaps on everything.

    Otherwise love it up there!

Wasn't just camping... My dumb ass went on a 4 mile (off trail) hike, with my marathon running buddy. Went straight to hell from there. Tried sucking it up and stayed the night and suffered the whole time.

Came home yesterday, feeling only slightly better now.

No more eating at the fucking Taqueria on Friday for me!

Taqueria's and taco trucks are such a gamble in my old age, but pizza is the #1 offender. Speaking of food, have you tried that new BBQ joint in Hughson? I've been meaning to go check it out.

It's pretty wierd how things work themselves out though. If I had been feeling well, we would have stayed up there, out of service, till probably Tuesday evening. Jen would not have been able to be reached. She got the call, early this morning, from her brother, that her Grandma passed late last night.

Prilosec has bearly been taking the edge off. Been drinking buckets of water and trying to stay still.

Crazy thing is... I never, ever have stomach problems like this.

If it keeps happening and OTC meds aren't working, go see your doc, reflux can cause permanent damage.
