One set as in one side? I had to switch the sockets that you plug the Meso ones into for both of mine to light up.

Thanks but here is the current situation; feeling stoopid.
I’ve dine every combo I can think of. Switched lights, sockets, which the the socket goes in etc. drivers side functions properly; passenger side in or off regardless of switch position, door off etc.
New wrinkle: put original bulb back in an acting same way now, on or off regardless of switch position. What did I do?

Click the light as if you were going to turn It on or off. Or pull the light out and press the switch on the inside in and out a few times It might be stuck.

You have the little plunger switch activated up inside the hole. (As if you “clicked it on”) use a small tool and click it off

Btw I got the red map lights and they are sweet. Next to install the Meso ultimate turn indicators! Also excellent products, packaging, shipping time and obviously on line support! 5 stars. Thanks Mesojdm!

every time I see someone with red map lights I get super jelly. I am grumpy that I missed these. At least I was lucky enough to get some V4's just waiting to wash my truck to install them.

Super easy install on the turning indicators. Prolly under 4 minutes a side. I dig it!

So a question, and please don't take this the wrong way since I've already installed your Dome light. There is a website that sells LED lights for almost everything, including replacement bulbs for every dang light inside and outside of your car. Why would you recommend your lights over just replacing the bulbs with LEDs? Just curious, as I plan on buying the red maps when you get them in again. Thanks!!

That’s a valid question. This is the best way I can explain the difference:

When you do a generic “LED bulb swap” you are not getting the most amount of LEDs for the given surface area. You are limited to a very small bulb because it has to fit in the original light socket.
This is where my design mainly differs. Since mine is a complete replacement PANEL, I can cram a lot more lights on a given plane.

Second, this is 100% efficient light output as ALL LED’s are facing down where you need light. Compare that to “Drop in bulbs” where they usually have LEDs placed in all directions(not as efficient)

Last, and this is probably my favorite. Since my LED’s are recessed up inside each little square window of the panel, there is zero glare when looking in from the side of the truck.
Example: you swap out the dome light with a super duper bright LED. Great.. but the light goes through the clear lens and shines everywhere, even to the side where it can be overwhelming and glaring at night. With mine you can stand from the side of the truck looking in and have zero glare because the light only shines down only where you need it.

    Hope this helped:)
