    I'd definitely regear with 315/70R17s. That's pretty much a 35.

285/70/17s with icon stage 1 and it rides just fine. My only armor is rock sliders though. Definitely will regear in the future when I go to 35s and add more armor.

First off, congratulations for deciding on 35’s. Takes a real man to step up to the plate.

That being said I drove for a few months with 35’s in stock 3.92 gears. Doable. But Jill’s and freeway was rough. In town it pulls unnoticed.

Second, I’m drink as fawk. But do you even have a a 2.7?

Just so you know, they don’t fit, lol. Takes some massaging, but they payoff is worth it.

Not sure what we’re talkingabot, but do it.

Sorry if I’m hijacking here but I’m new to the regearing game. Got a 2017 Trd OR 4x4. Going with a bilstein/OME setup with 285/75r16. Do you need to regear both the front and rear? Or just the rear? I gotta believe if I did the rear only and used 4wd it would be bad but I don’t know. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    Loud as hell URD exhaust!
You must do both (front/rear) so all 4 tires are synchronized.
    If you dont —> :boom:

so for the trd offroad. Regearing won't mess with the stock e-locker will it?

I'm getting 4.88's for my 265/75/16's, I call it future proofing when I do go up to a 33" tire.

Just re-geared my truck. Went to 33's and 4.88's. Absolutely necessary in my opinion.

265/75R16 and stock gearing was tolerable with a tire that isnt that heavy.

for me this is how the truck should be. 2krpms at 65. plenty of get up and go. much better for towing. i don't know anybody runs 33's or larger without regearing. i'd shoot myself or the truck. probably the truck first.
