Well bought them in November so only been about 4-5 months but so far no issues. My much more expensive morimoto 2 strokes died in about one year and started flickering towards the end.

The NEWEST Hikari's are great. They're very bright and throw good, much better than stock and the older gen Hikari. I did have one issue with one of the bulbs but they warrantied it no questions asked. I've had mine for a few months with no complaints.

If you look at the LED lighting thread, there is extensive reviews and pictures posted with those LEDs in.

The 5000k matches the DRL nicely.

I put these in my low and high. I would honestly say they are the same as stock brightness but the color is much better as it matches the DRL. The light does seem to get washed out if there are a lot of street lights. Only cost me ~$90 for two pairs because i bought it when ebay was running the 15% anything coupon.

IF they die for whatever reason I will go with Xenon HID's. I had them on my RSX and they were really bright.

I put LEDs in my high and low beams and am very happy with the result. I think the newer LEDs are really good.

Thanks for confirming that the 5000K from the Xtreme HID Kit matches the LED DRL!

Many forum members have gone with our Xtreme Pro H9 LED Kit.

I had the old style hikari Cree leds, they were great except for the lack of a hot spot, never even noticed it, they throw out so much more light everywhere else it didn’t matter. I got the newer style with philips lumileds and they are better. We will see how long they last, I had another set of Cree leds before these and they failed in a year. Then one of the Hikaris failed after 18 months or so. Great warranty response from them though.

Or spend $25 on a set of h9’s for your low beam. Check the 3rd gen ultimate headlight thread.

I did, lots of misinformation in there. Why would I go back to old, dim, hot halogens with 1/3 the light output? No thanks.

I have lasfit led’s. Bought on Amazon for like $30ish. I find them comparable to the wife’s led’s that came stock on her corolla. Much better than stock imo. As good as hid? Prob not. But for $30 try it out. If you don’t like them you can always return them. Plug and play under 10mins to find out if they fit your needs.
