Do you hear it?... Or Am I the only one slipping into madness???

I’m Curious & in hopes.. does anyone else have a sound (rattling) coming from? or around the Glove Box area? I’ve taken it to service to get Checked and of course unable to duplicate it while there. Or I’m I going cra.zy??

 

Yeah. There’s a few fixes, I just ignore it.

Actually both are well documented legit issues reported here. You should definitely investigate.

 

Last one we had at our dealer with that complaint was loose wiring behind the glove box. Maybe have a look?

It could also be something near the tweeter, some piece of plastic hits the pillar and makes a noise. People said they put a piece of felt between the two and it stopped

I hope it works out for you. I had this noise whenever my truck was cold, and this fixed it. Been quiet for over a year now.

 

If you have a question like this it is much quicker to search the keywords “rattle” or “dash rattle”. Not trying busy your balls just saying if you want a fix, it can sometimes be much quicker to get a resolution by just looking around a bit.

You will get an answer here, but with as many dash rattle threads as there are on here it’s very easy to get a fix without starting another thread about the exact same thing. Hope you get it fixed.

 

I’m just trying to save you from dealing with the ass rammers at the dealership and wasting precious brain cells from banging your head on the steering wheel while you try to figure out if you are crazy or not.

 

Don’t worry about my brain cells I don’t think I have many left.. all jokes aside you’re right, and thank you I’m just really new at TW and didn’t think, not many Brain cells... remember, lol

 

I had a strange rattle...Turns out it was a utility knife in my glove box.

 

Everyone knows your shank Should be with you at all times by your hip or prison wallet. I made sure to Empty out the glove box.

 

I had a slight noise, only on speeds above 50. It was the mud flap tapping against the liner. Added so e foam behind it and made a good snug Tigger fit. Noise be gone!
