Passenger rear door stuck closed assistance. Double cab.

Ok folks send you links or how to's.

Had the door panels of today installing sounds deadening and speakers.

Issues with passenger rear. Re attached both the lock and handle cable, fastened door panel, and closed door. Door will not open now from either interior or exterior handle... FML. I've done many door speakers and never run into this.

When the panel was off and interior handle disconnected I could open from exterior no problem.

After identifying the problem I tried again to open from interior, handle felt like it was catching so I really pulled and the handle cable popped off, I can see from inside that this occurred.

Lock mechanicals work fine both manually and powered.

How do I get this open? Can't get the interior panel off with the door closed. Thinking my only option may be unbolting the hinged side?

Any help is appreciated.

This happened to me too. Took it to a friend that works at a body shop and he was able to get it by pushing in on the panel right behind the handle and pulling the handle. He said he heard the cable snap back into the clip behind the panel and then it opened.

 

During my re-install I found that if you really push the green and white collars in hard they snap into a second layer of attachment which helped them stay on better during reassembly.
Also I noted that when I sound deadened the doors I made the hole too small initially for the cables and they were not lined up ideally. Once I enlarged the hole the handle and lock mechanism worked more freely.
